RESIDENT PROGRAMS
ZIU offers more than 30 undergraduate and graduate resident programs with a vibrant Christian atmosphere.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Complete and email/fax the application form. Application fees of (US $35.00 non-refundable) must be made with the application. All other relevant certificates, licenses or documents should be scan and email too.
After receipt of your application and all requested items, we will send you a letter of acceptance and your first course. You will also receive instructional guide that will help you make the most your studies. You will be assigned a mentor who will work with you, offer help, tips and personalized coaching to assist you in understanding any complex subjects.
REQUIREMENT FOR ADMISSION (APPLY NOW!)
CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMS…There is no prior academic requirement for entry into the Certificate program; however a minimum of GED and or Certificate is required to enter the Diploma Program.
ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMS…For admission into the Associate’s program, a candidate is required to have a high school diploma, a GED, or equivalent, and have completed the Diploma program.
BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAMS…To enroll in the Bachelor’s degree program, an Associate’s degree, the completion of extra sixty (60) credits, or its equivalent is required.
MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM…Entrance into the Master’s degree program requires a Bachelor’s degree, the completion of extra 120 credits, or its equivalent.
DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAMS…For admission into the Doctoral degree program, a candidate must have a Master’s degree, the completion of extra 30 graduate level credits, or its equivalent.
TIME REQUIREMENTS
For correspondence students, online or studies by email, ZIU has an open door policy. The student may begin their program at any time. Generally a Degree program can be accelerated and be completed in as little as few months to a year and Doctoral Program in about two years. However, the Students will have to decide their pace of study. Once completed and all financial obligations have been met, the certificate. Diploma or degree will be awarded.
TRANSFER OF CREDITS
ZIU will accept credits earned at any recognized university, college, or institution, if appropriate to the desired degree program. You will need to submit certified transcripts. Unofficial copies of transcripts are acceptable for purposes of the application, but official copies are required before credit is granted toward the degree. The credit will not be accepted if it has been previously used in fulfillment of any prior degree.
CHOICE OF MAJOR & CREDITS
Your mentor and instructors may assist if needed to help develop the course study program you wish to follow or in the ministry area you wish to excel. Once this is done, a variety of methods may be used to fulfill the requirements for the desired degree. Each learning activity will be translated into course work, evaluated by your mentor and listed on your transcript.

SENIOR PAPER, THESIS, AND DISSERTATION
Three bonded copies of each senior paper, thesis, and/or dissertation will be required from the student. Two copies will become the property of the school, and the other copy becomes the property of the student, and will be returned after grading.
All copyrights remain the sole property of the student. Therefore, if ZIU desires to utilize, or publish, in any way a particular piece of work, the school will request permission from the student. Senior Paper: Must be at least 10,000 words in length (app. 50/60 pages).Master’s Thesis: Must be at least 20,000 words in length (app. 80-100 pages).Doctoral Dissertation: Must be at least 40,000 words in length (app. 150-200 pages).
All subject topics must first be approved. For guidelines on writing a Senior Paper, a Master’s Thesis, or a Doctoral Dissertation, let us know and we will send them to you. A pre-approved project may be done in lieu of the Senior Paper, Master’s Thesis, and Doctoral Dissertation.
